Mr. Habibur Rashid

Mr. Habibur Rashid was born on September 15, 1973, into a respectable Muslim family. His father is Abdur Rashid Ahmed, and his mother is Rahima Akhter Khatun. He is married to Mabia Akhter, and they are blessed with three sons. He is a resident of East Mother Tech, Sabujbagh, Dhaka.

He completed his postgraduate studies in the Department of Management at Jagannath University.

Political Career

Mr. Habibur Rashid is currently a member of the National Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

His political journey began during his student life at Dhaka City College, where he actively participated in the politics of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal. Over the years, he has held numerous গুরুত্বপূর্ণ positions, including:

Parliamentary and Ministerial Role

In the 11th National Parliament Election (2026), Mr. Habibur Rashid was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Dhaka-09 constituency.

He assumed office as the State Minister of the Road Transport and Highways Division and the Ministry of Railways on February 17, 2026. In this role, he is committed to implementing the promises and action plans outlined in his election manifesto.
